First of all… HI everyone!! ;3!!!
well… is almost official that i will be valedictorian for my class next year (beating #2 by like 3 points) unless i do a major mistake this year lol.
As valedictorian i’ll be asked to make a speech at graduation. But i also believe that most people forget about that speech as soon as they leave the auditorium … so my idea was to make a video including every student in my graduating class. Somehow make interviews during the whole year and incorporate them into a single video showing everyone…
good idea???
any opinions??? ;/
How many people are in your class? Mine had 600 so that would be impossible! It sounds like a good idea if you can manage it though. I would run it by the principal or another school official at the beginning of the year to make sure it’s okay.
But if you don’t capture each and every one, imagine being the kids who are left out. The prime focus of their graduation is about other people, not them.
Imagine those kids who are already disenfranchised-- every graduating class has one or two. They’re the invisible kids. You probably don’t know them-- most kids don’t even know their names. They’re the quiet kids, the ones who don’t speak up in class, the ones not in any activities, the ones who sit quietly alone in the cafeteria. Those are the kids who won’t be in your video because you won’t be able to catch them doing any of the things you’re filming.
Assuming you do end up as valedictorian, I think you should work on speaking to everyone. If it’s as much as a slam dunk as you think, you have almost a year to do so. Make your speech the one they do remember.
