Any point to taking SAT?

Okay, I recently got my ACT scores back:

English: 36
Mathematics: 36
Reading: 34
Science: 36

Composite: 35.5 -> 36

My SAT scores from last year, however, were only around ~2200.

All the colleges I’m applying to (Stanford, MIT, Harvard, etc.) accept both tests and claim to have no preference, viewing both tests equally.

Questions:

Would a 36 be seen as equivalent to a 2400?

Should I go ahead and take the October SAT (I’ve already registered/paid)?

Is it possible that sending in 2200 SAT scores might somehow detract from a 36 ACT?

Sidenote: In my opinion, the ACT is much easier than the SAT.

Study for the SAT since you already registered/paid for it. I’m sure you’ll do better than a 2200 SAT score this time as well. As long as you get 2300+, it certainly wouldn’t harm you. This shows consistency in your test scores.

No. Send your ACT scores, all those schools accept that equally and will view it as a perfect score in your favor.
Not sure about Harvard/MIT/Stanford, but I do know that a bunch of Ivies (ex, Yale) require you to send ALL test scores regardless of score choice. so if you do really badly on the SAT, they ask you to still send it in. which is why I would just send the ACT score…

^^ Way off-topic ^^

Grow a pair! Take the SAT. You will smoke it. Let us know how you do!

Well your score is great on the ACT, probably would not really need to take the SAT.
Plus a 35-36 is about high as a score you can get.

Yes

You can’t get a refund at this point AFAIK so it comes down to whether you mind losing $45 or not.

No
