Are there any scholarships that target specifically the immigrant students group?(Students who migrated from other countries to U.S. and English is not their native language)
If so, Please comment the names of the scholarships, and perhaps URL to the scholarships website if possible.
p.s. for high school juniors/seniors going to college
THANKS !
There might be some scholarships that stipulate a particular national heritage, but I’ve never heard of a blanket one for immigrants and I really don’t see the point. “Immigrant” is a broad category that includes billionaires.
If you are low income and/or1st Gen college, then consider Questbridge.

Your income is too high for financial aid.
You need to ask your parents how much they’ll spend each year on college.
If you need money for college then you’ll have to apply to the schools that will give you scholarships for your stats.
There really aren’t private entities that give affluent immigrants scholarships of any substantial amount. You might find some entity that might give you a one-time award for $1000.
Private entities have no incentive to give money to affluent students, immigrant or otherwise.
Would make sense to target schools that grant generous merit scholarships. Merit scholarships are awarded irrespective of race & family income.
@GMTplus7 Would you mind to share some examples of target/reach schools (based on my stats) that grant generous merit scholarships please? Also, do you think I would qualify for any scholarships from UC’s? Thanks a lot my friend!

Look at the column for non-need-based aid:
http://www.kiplinger.com/tool/college/T014-S001-kiplinger-s-best-values-in-private-colleges/
Also look at the column which shows the percentage of students which receive non-need-based. Some schools distribute it to a sizable proportion of students, while others give it only to a handful of students who walk on water.

Look at the links in the first post. There is one for competitive merit awards, and one for automatic merit awards. You will have to check EACH college website for the current availability of these awards. In addition…some are NOT for international students.
What kind of visa are you here on currently? Any chance you are seeking permanent resident status?
As noted…$200,000 annual income will put you out of the running for need based aid everywhere…unless you have several siblings attending college at the same time.
Look for schools that offer merit aid to international students.
Do you have a green card?

Only maybe from the lower UCs. Not from any of the top UCs.
If you want to lower your education costs to below a UC, then you need to apply to schools that give merit for YOUR stats.
Do you qualify for instate tuition at UCs?
Are either of your oarents self employed?
Tulane, UMiami, URochester, Pitt, and Case Western all would probably give merit, if you get in. What will your parents pay?
UC’s offer Regent scholarships for the top 1-2% of applicants. They range from $2000 (UCSD) to $10,000 (UCR). If your parents make $200K, why the need for scholarships?
@Gumbymom merit based scholarships
@MisterStudentt
We understand you are looking for merit scholarships. The question is…why can’t your oarents lay your college costs with a $200,000 a year income?
I understand that you are looking for merit scholarships, but how much are you looking for and are they necessary for you to attend a UC? Are the schools you are targeting affordable without the scholarships?
