<p>Does anyone have any knowledge of conservatories/colleges with an excellent oboe teacher?
I am posting this for a friend, whose D is looking.
My friend’s D has outstanding academics, as well as being a very gifted musician.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

<p>My nephew is now a senior at Vanderbilt U in Nashville. He is the principal oboe player, so maybe they’ll be looking for a new one once he graduates??? I really have no idea how it works, but she can certainly contact that college…I have no idea if they have oboe teachers there or not…good luck…</p>

<p>Manhattan School of Music - New York Philharmonic line of oboe and english horn players (including Thomas Stacy, best English Horn player in the world), plus the Orpheus chamber orchestra oboe players. (in my opinion, this school has the best group of oboe teachers in the US)
Curtis - Richard Woodhams (principal Philadelphia orchestra).
