Any thoughts? :)

Hello there! I graduated highschool in 2015 in South East Asia. I’m originally english so I am an international student. Im fluent in 2 other languages and learning a third one. I just finished the IB diploma. Im looking at a career in Advertising which requires communications and visual arts. I’m looking at universities in California- any feedback would help!

IB Points: 31
HL: History- 4
HL: English Lang/Lit- 6
HL: Art- 6
SL: Design Tech- 4
SL: Math Studies- 4
SL: Spanish AB- 5
Both art and english were few marks away from a 7
I’m not very good under exam conditions which explains the below average grades haha

I haven’t taken the SAT yet

Extracurriculars:
Varsity volleyball/represented the school abroad internationally
Inter-school football/soccer
Extra community service (assisting disabled locals)
I did an insane amount of charity work
Performed in dance for Women Rights
Violin for 7 years
Designed a logo for an oil+gas company in 2012
Designed a logo for another company in 2013

I’m on my gap year working at an internet startup based out of LA… I’m counting this as work experience.

If anyone recommend some universities which would accept me… Anything else I should consider doing?

Many thanks in advance!

No SAT, no chances.

I agree with the above post. No decent school will accept you if you do not take the SAT, and it would be impossible o chance you until you do.

I’m taking the SAT in October and then one in November- I forgot to mention haha… Under the assumption that I get an average score? Any further tips haha

You’re exam scores look alright but your extracurriculars seem really good. I know a lot of people that have gotinto ivies and better with excellent essays and extracurriculars. Make sure your essays say a lot about YOU not what you think they want to hear. I’m prepping for the SAT, do you think you could read my essay anyone?- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1797940-correct-my-essay-prompt-is-conscience-a-more-powerful-motivator-than-money-fame-or-power.html#latest
