Any timing strategies for the act?

<p>I got a 25 on the act and I need at least a 28. I just didn’t have enough time for the reading or the science. Any tips?</p>

<p>I think the reading and science sections are split into four passages each. So try to spend 1/4 at most the amount of time on each section.</p>

<p>This works for the SAT, idr if ACT uses the same format – skip all the general “what is the main idea” questions. Questions involving line references are ordered, so get those first, while reading around those line references. When you are finished, you should have read essentially the entire passage. Then go back to the “what is the main idea”-type questions.</p>

<p>The other main factor is simply, being a fast reader.</p>
