Any tips for planning to study in Trinity College Dublin? Is it worth it to travel abroad and study in Trinity College

Is the Trinity College Dublin worth it the cost for studying Btech. Want to shift from Boston to get higher college in Dublin

You will get more useful advice if you give us more information to go from. Are you currently a high school student? Are you a US citizen (or permanent resident) from Boston, Massachusetts? What are your stats? What is your budget? What is your budget without taking on any debt at all? What is your motivation to consider attending university abroad? Have you considered getting a degree from a university in the US, but taking a semester abroad?

There are a lot of universities in and around Boston, and many of them are very good.

I have visited Trinity College Dublin and quite liked the location, but this was many years ago. I do not know how things have changed since. I happened to be visiting during exams, and was somewhat amused by the signs that said something along the lines of “don’t be stressed out, the deacons are praying for you”. I guess that exams can be stressful pretty much anywhere.

We checked it out for our kid (dual American/Irish citizen, which doesn’t matter for tuition purposes—only residents get the lower rate), and it seemed like a great place to go to school. He has a friend who ended up going from the US and seems to love it. The tuition is sub-30K, so it’s a bargain compared to US private schools, although housing is an issue, from what I understand. The reason my kid didn’t pursue it was primarily concern about the rigidity of coursework; you choose your major (or “course”), and you take very little outside that area. He decided a semester abroad would be more appealing.

They do tours for international students, which we found meant mostly US students. If you can get to Dublin, it’s definitely worth signing up for one. Good luck!
