Back when I was attending the Spring Insight, one of the people helping everyone out told me about a new program UCSB debuted this year for transfer students:

http://www.summer.ucsb.edu/transitions/transitions.html

It’s not as involved as the Freshman Summer Start program UCSB has. It’s basically like signing up for regular summer school, but it does have an additional day just for Transitions students where you can talk to an adviser who will help you pick summer school classes as well as helping you plan for your future at UCSB.

Anyone considering this? I was already considering summer school so I could get used to UCSB before the fall, and get to know some of the other transfer (and new freshman) students, and the Transitions program looks like a good plan for summer school studends.
