please help
i want to reach 700

I would just recommend studying the writing sections they give as examples of high-scoring essays for the AP English Language sections. They really help clarify building an argument and incorporating evidence. That might not be the kind of advice you’re looking for, but its what I did, and my writing section was quite high (way above 700).

Learn your grammar rules, a book like the underground guide to the sat will have the rules listed out. I just memorized these and quickly checked each question to see if it violated a rule. The writing section can seem really confusing, but just knowing the basic tricks really helps. I went from a 600 on my first practice test to a perfect score on the real thing in about a month.
On the essay, use big words, but in a smooth manner. also for content, it is impressive to have facts, even if you just make them up. For example, if you are writing about the opium wars in China, say that a this of all Chinese people were addicted in 1657. Just don’t make it obvious you are making stuff up.

I do not recommend “making stuff up”. I do agree that studying for the grammar rule section can make a big difference. Also, have an adult who is a good writer read and edit your sample essays when you take a sample test. We did that maybe 5 times with my D2, and she scored an 800 (but to be fair, her multiple choice was super strong, and her essay did not get a perfect score). But good enough when you put the two together.

The Opium War wasn’t until the 19th century I thought? Anyway, you probably shouldn’t make anything up unless you are in a time crunch and/or can’t think of examples that could explain the prompt.
