Anybody applying as...

a music student to HADES?
or a very good athlete?

if so what do u excel at.

time to check out the competition >:)

Athlete - really good at track and field

Athlete- very accomplished at volleyball. I’ve done 4 seasons of running (track and cross country) but my “hook” is volleyball.

Music- 5 years as an oboe player, 4 years in All County, 3 years participation in NYSSMA (performances are graded by judges) with Outstandings/Excellents all 3 years.

Theater- 3 years in major productions. Snoopy in Snoopy! The Musical, Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof, and Chip in Beauty and the Beast.

That’s about it… My REAL major hook “hook” is volleyball. I made a highlight video and everything, I met coaches, etc.
I’m applying to Exeter, Andover, Choate (top choice, Coach Loeb is AMAZING), and NMH.

Kids, protect your identities better than Saer just did! It is immediately obvious to any admissions rep who she is. Maybe that’s not a big deal if you feel that all your posts represent you in a good light to anyone, but there have been a lot of very silly posts that aren’t all that flattering to many of you.

I’m sorry :stuck_out_tongue:
I don’t feel that my posts are casting me in a negative light, so I hope you are not referring to me! :)

No, you’re not the one who should be most worried about being identified here! But I just want everyone to be aware of what they are revealing and that none of us know who is in the audience. And I wouldn’t be surprised if some posters had already harmed their applications through their posts.

Thank you  I should probably tattoo that on my forehead…

Athlete- top 150 basketball player.

musician- 8 years (and some awards, but in order to protect my identity I will not go into specifics)
athlete- 3 sports,
one of them goalie (schools always need goalies in every sport),
one of the uncommon (plus the coach wrote my rec and cause the team is made mostly up of new kids to the sport i’m one of the best)
one of them I made JV as a middle schooler

State ranked bball player
National Track & Field athelete

…I wouldn’t say I’m applying as simply an “athlete”…I have lots of other stuff. But if you mean I’ve contacted the coaches and I’m on their recruiting list then yes.

music - 11 years of piano, 2 years of violin, and just started learning guitar
athletic - varsity tennis, fencing, golf, and badminton (it’s not widespread in New England, I know)

Impressive!

I’ve played numerous instruments mainly the violin, I made a professional CD that I’ve turned in (similar to you guys)

Im also an athlete as well, I would play volley ball but since they dont have male volleyball teams Q_Q
I mainly play tennis (I compete with the top 50 in 16s in Norcal) and very good players from SOCAL
and basketball for fun with my friends ( im 6 ft. 1)

hhaa, i play violin as well.
irish fiddling (awards for that) but mostly classical.
violin kindof defines my life right now xD
and for sports, its ski racing and golf. nationally ranked in both. =D
and loving every minute of it.

11 years of piano? And you’re 13?

Kids, don’t get wigged out reading posts by CC’ers. They are not typical. :)

athletics- track and field (quite a few awards for that as well).

music- 8 yrs of piano (loads and loads of awards) and 3 yrs of cello…

wait lemonade1-

there really are admissions officers lurking around cc???

of course! the all-knowing GemmaV, for instance, is one. she won’t say at which school, though… D:

No, agara is applying for 11th grade.
