<p>Just bit the bullet and bought the iPad 2 after 4 months. What are some of the uses, besides the obvious internet/email/video that people here like to use it for?</p>
<p>Anybody with kids in college that swear by their devices? What apps are the best for notetaking, etc…?</p>
<p>One of my favorite apps for notes, writing, etc. is ** Evernote **. The nice thing about it is I can access my notes from my droid, my laptop, my ipad or my work PC. It’s all stored in the cloud.</p>
<p>Search the forum. There are a few good threads about applications people like or love. As an iPad I user, I remain underwhelmed by what is available for productive uses. </p>
<p>On the other hand, the IPad is a wonderful time waster. If you are into spending time chasing angry birds or surfing (most) of the web, you’ll be pleased with your purchase. If you plan to compare the iPad to even a lowly netbook, you will be quite disappointed. It’s just a big iPod with extra limitations.</p>
<p>After being passed (not sucessfully) from one family member to the next one, I think “we” have finally found where the thing might shine. Loaded with Paprika, it will end up in the kitchen as an attractive recipe holder. That is, of course, until Paprika releases their Mac version.</p>
