It seems all of the older threads have been closed.
I had a really bad accident last summer and was unable to walk for almost 4 months. Needless to say, I gained a lot of weight because I literally didn’t move for weeks.
I am still in physical therapy and will require another surgery this summer so I can’t do all of the types of exercise that I used to be able to do.
I started Weight Watchers two weeks ago and so far have lost 5.5 pounds, still a long way to go.
Just thought I’d start a motivational thread for anyone dealing with a similar situation.
Remember that weight loss is about 90 percent about what you eat rather than about exercise, so don’t worry much about not being able to get any in. I lost 75 pounds 2 years ago based solely on changing how much I eat. I was very busy at my desk job and got almost no movement in. I started using WW and I think it is a great sensible program. It wasn’t quite right for me because I was too tempted to “ game” the system with zero point foods. I had to switch to calorie counting. Since I was always a health eater WW just didn’t add enough upside for me. But it’s a great program for many, especially those who need to focus on eating healthier foods. .
