I’m at Drexel and I’m thinking about doing a study abroad session at University of York and I was wondering if anybody could shed any light on their experience at U of York.
Visiting University of York right now with my daughter, who is considering coming here instead of attending college in the US. We are from the Midwest - she has always wanted to come to the UK for her undergraduate years. We are loving York - if is super strong in her area of interest (Archaeology). The city is absolutely gorgeous and charming and easy to navigate. The main campus is 15 min by bus outside the historic walled city. Easy to get there, and it is peaceful and well laid out. Lots of residential areas and a park-like setting. From the US, you would fly to Edinburgh or London and then take a 2.5 hour train ride.
Actually best city to fly into would be Manchester. York is indeed a beautiful city many times as kid cresting the Vale of of York and seeing the minster dominate the landscape for miles around was/is impressive. Bath, York and Edinburgh my 3 favourite towns in the UK. Univ of York is well regarded Russell group university.
