I just got a job as a consultant for CS 2110. I wonder how much work one needs to do outside of the job, like studying all the course materials and projects.

Hey so I see that you are thinking of becoming a course consultant. That must mean you have taken the CS 211 course.

I am a sophomore in the engineering school but I haven’t programmed since senior year of high school. Any recommendations on what I need to do to prepare for CS 211?

Brush up on java and prepare for long time spent on projects, very long time. That’s about all the prep you’ll need.

I have friends who are 211 consultants. Basically, make sure you understand the material in the class and know how to do the projects. It really sucks when someone goes to your office hours and you can’t help them.

No bad on any of the consultants, but I found last semester that many of them didn’t know what they were talking about.
