Anybody know if Princeton accepts CLEP rather than SAT?

College Level Examination Program (also administered by the College Board) is an alternative test to the SAT. It’s the most popular one in Puerto Rico. Now, in the College Board website it says Princeton grants ‘awards’ to those who take it. But on the Princeton website they don’t even mention CLEP.

Anybody know if they accept CLEP?

Where does it say that? Do you mean the words “credit is awarded” on this page:

http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=4221&profileId=6

This is just a general explanation, which you can find on this page for any university. See, here: http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=2611&profileId=6

You can see 65 and 3 on THIS page, and so on… which means that Iowa State will give you 3 credits for American Government if you got a CLEP score of 65 or higher.

You only can see – – – at the Princeton page: that means that Princeton will not give you any credit for CLEP. Competitive universities do not give credits for CLEP.

And even Iowa State will not allow you to use CLEP instead of SAT: these are different tests, and they are used for different purposes.
