Anybody want to test for Lead in their water?

So I want to test for lead in my household water from Curtis and Tompkins, a lab company in Berkeley that offers water testing among its services.

[Curtis & Tompkins, Environmental Testing, Berkeley, San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California](<a href=“Environmental Testing Analytical Chemistry Services - Chemical Testing Laboratory | Enthalpy”>http://curtisandtompkins.com/)

They charge $25 per sample for lead, but have a $75 minimum lab fee. Anyone also want to test their household/campus water for lead? You can pay me $25 and I’ll hand your sample to them.

this is a ripoff

Ripoff indeed.

If you really want to test for lead in water, go to Amazon or Home Depot and buy a test kit. It’s sure less costly than $25.
