anyone applying to UCLA's HSSEAS?

hi!
so i’ve been planning my courses according to the requirements listed at:
[HSSEAS Transfer Requirements — UCLA Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs](http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/admissions/erkki-admissions-pages/hsseas-transfer-requirements#majors)
and near the bottom, it states “At least one course from the arts, humanities or social sciences is required for UC eligibility”

my question is: if i am applying from another UC, am i already UC eligible? if not, can the class i take to satisfy UC eligibility be taken for pass/no pass credit instead of for a grade?

also, just wondering, has anyone been emailing erkki corpuz? i have emailed him several times in the last few months (including once last week) and only got a reply once earlier this year after making a phone call directly to HSSEAS. im almost scared that at this point, he is ignoring my emails from seeing my name so many times… i hope this isn’t a bad sign :frowning: has anyone been able to get an email reply from him? i don’t know why my emails keep going unanswered…

thanks in advance! :)

i’m applying for EE from a community college.
i’m not sure, but i’d rather take it for a letter grade
i think i’m pestering erkki with the amount of emails i’ve sent him, but he has replied to all of them.

hi!
how long does he usually take to respond? have you been emailing him at erkki@ea.ucla.edu?
this is so frustrating :(

oh and yes, after msging someone who was accepted to la, i believe the class needs to be taken for a letter grade.

he usually replies the next day, and that’s the address i send to.

AHH just got an email back from him!! finally!
