Anyone belong to Snap Fitness?

We just got one near us, and they are offering a promotional. Nice thing is that one of my personal trainer’s clients bought him a membership, so I could do my personal training sessions there with my trainer.

Ours also has two showers (I know all of them don’t).

We got one in our local grocery center.
Its next to the takeout pizza, the baskin robins, starbucks. And the liquor store. :)

A friend uses it. Her H does not, he uses the free hospital machines (heart attack).
We use the local gym for the swimming pool.

We have 4 fitness centers where I work. 2 of them have a Mexican chain next door. A third one used to before we moved into a new location last summer ;)

Funny, ours is also in a small strip mall next to a pizza joint and a Taco Bell.

clean, inexpensive. no longterm contracts, monthly. closeby. francised.

My daughter and her husband belonged for a year but found theirs lacking- poor temperature control and they simply reached a point where they wanted classes and more workout options. It was a little run down, too. Other facilities have looked better in other parts of town/other cities, though.

MOWC - this one is brand new; grand opening is this week; they also have a couple of showers (not that I’d use them). I also found out last night that because our health insurance is through BC/BS PPO, I can get a monthly membership for $25, with only a $25 enrollment fee.

The trainer’s gym where I’m working with my trainer is dark and dreary. Some of the equipment in there is not commercial grade equipment (not that it needs to be since it’s a trainer’s gym and the only people using it are clients who are in there with their trainers, unlike an open gym where equipment is used all day long, many times by many different people, who might not be using it correctly), but it has sufficed.

So I went and joined today during their grand opening. They have a couple of pieces on order that the current trainer’s gym that I’m working at does not have… a gravity-assisted dip/pull up machine, and an accessory to do leg extensions with.

I also confirmed with the owner that my personal trainer can come train me there since he’s already a member, and it is all OK. I also confirmed the enrollment fee, as well as the monthly fee of $25. Am looking forward to a new location! Oh, the owner’s sister is one of the Housewives of Orange County, and she was there today signing copies of her book (I have no idea who she was; I just asked someone and they told me; I had no desire for another how-to fitness book!)

Hubby and I have belonged for over 3 years now and are quite happy. We have gotten to know the owners who are quite involved and responsive. The facility is well maintained. No classes, though.
