well i received a call today from someone at student affairs, and they said that as long as i maintain a 2.5 GPA and an A or B in a math class (don’t think i will be doing this with 5 in calc bc) during the summer semester, i will be elgible for first first choice major in the 2008 fall semester, which is chemical engineering. anyone else get this type of offer?

Wow, that’s great! I wish my friend’s son had gotten that call before he decided to give up the summer-UT thing and go to A&M. He was worried that he might not get into engineering if he went in as liberal arts. Oh well, he’s an aggie now :(

It sounds like the yield for Chem E majors was lower than they expected. Great news for you. Congratulations.
