Does anyone here know if it is especially difficult to get into WSFS?

By percentages no, by applicant pool yes. The SFS applicant pool is the most self-selective with very little difference in objective criteria between candidates for admission.

nothing in california as of monday

Copley, do you have admissions stats for SFS seperately? I’ve been trying to find htem, but haven’t been able to. I know I got some at Gtown itself but I can only find info from their visit to my campus and the evening info session they gave.

guys…i have a feeling they mailed them out yesterday…hope im right- im way too anxious

i hope they mailed them out last friday!!! not yesterday!!!

No way they mailed them out last Friday, I would’ve received it Saturday if they did. Now I WISHH they had mailed it out last Friday.

Quick question… FLL is part of Georgetown College. So on the app, you have to check off which Gtown school (Nursing, SFS, College, etc) you want to apply to, and then under that you can check what you plan to major in… I chose FLL… So if I’m accepted to Gtown does that mean it’s binding that I enroll in the FLL program ? And are they going to assess me in an applicant pool with other FLLers, or just other College people ?

A dean at S’s school said Georgetown is mailing letters on Wednesday, 3/28…tomorrow! If true, many of us won’t know until the end of the week. Even later than the Ivies!

Sorry to be dense - who or what is S?

If you applied to the FLL in the College that is who you application will be considered among, and that is what undergraduate program you’ll be in for your first year. You can transfer out if you want, but yes you’ll be in the FLL.

The admissions stats for the four undergraduate schools are not made publicly available, although I have seen the ones from the Early round as my sister is an alumni interviewer. SFS mid-50 percentile verbal and math SAT scores were maybe 10 points higher than the College, and rank was maybe a percentage higher, something like 98.3 percentile versus 97 percentile, though I don’t really recall the actual figures.

Wait - I’m REALLY confused… I checked off College / FLL, and someone on this forum told me that I am bound to be in the College, but I’m not bound to do the FLL, and that I could just be in the regular college/undeclared if I wanted.

If this is true and I am accepted, is there any way that I can call Georgetown and begin freshman year in the College, but not in the FLL program, and just aim for a standard non-FLL major ?

Shouldn’t that be FFL?

an S is a son, a D is a daughter.
You are not dense, it’s just CC speak.

Nothing in PA today.

Dido in DC.

I called today to see when they mailing out the decisions. They simply said we will get our decisions by April 1st. And the suspense continues.

Nothing in MD today. Although I did get some brochure thing about a summer program there…?

nothing in MD?? that sucks. my mail came yesterday at 6:30 pm. i almost killed the guy. if this continues the suspense is going to be worse tomorrow. by the way i live like 35 min from georgetown.

DCdude, if you don’t mind me asking, does your daughter go to a school that is close with GTown (Visi for instance)? If so, that would assuage many of my anxieties, because you would know for sure.
