anyone else getting nervous?

that would mean i get the last two notices penn and g-town the same day!!! omg that is going to hurt.

I called and spoke with “Ann” in admissions. She told me decisions would be mailed no later then April 1. I guess it all depends on who you talk to - it would be nice if Gtown were like every other school and posted decisions online. Their technology is slightly archaic.

They might be mailing out decisions in large batches rather than all 15000+ decisions at once.

My son goes to a private high school in California. The dean that passed on the information (re timing of mailing) was a former admissions officer or has some other prior affiliation with G/town. At this point, who knows???

Nothing in NY! Here’s hoping for tomorrow. If it doesn’t get here before I hear from the Ivie’s I’ll go insane- I’d rather go here and I don’t think I’d be able to handle the panic of rejection before hearing!

nothing in PA…this is pretty maddening.

I’m getting really really restless. Looks like I’ll be hearing from Georgetown and 5 other schools (ivies, upper tiers) all about the same time. I hope I don’t get a speeding ticket for speeding home everyday after school so I can check my mail. :p

So my teacher, a Georgetown alum, didn’t pull me aside today. He also didn’t tell me that an admissions chair called him and she definitely didn’t tell him that I was in. She also would not have told him that the letters would be in the mail very soon. I absolutely was not extremely thrilled.

YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

How funny mellow. I got a speeding ticket, and now my mind is on that ticket rather than college admissions. So if anyone wants to get his/her mind off this wait, go get a speeding ticket. The higher the speed the faster you’ll stop worrying.

Similarly, I’ve been focusing on my watch, counting down to Thursday 5pm that I’ve been forgetting what it was that is at 5pm Thursday.

Congrats domestican!
I didn’t get anything in NJ today either. I’m hoping we hear tomorrow, though! I’m on spring break this week and next, and I’m not going on vacation or anything so I’m stuck at home with nothing to do but think/worry about these college decisions!

Crazymonster: how about this…you drive really, really carefully and don’t speed so you can actually GO to college and not to jail for killing somebody. Sound good? Sometimes I think the top tiers and ivies really get off on sucking the life blood out of students…it wouldn’t kill them to get their decisions done by mid-March. Name brands, whether they be clothes or colleges, tend to be a little too in love with themselves for my taste. All of this posturing leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

Right on sister!! or brother. but u seem like a sister

i wish i new just HOW soon they were sending those letters.

if i had a definite date (like the ivies) this would be much easier.

congrats on (not) getting in, domestican!!! :-)

congrats Domestican!!!
(i’m green with envy)

nothing in washington

They do have a specific date though, you can call in on April 2nd.

I havn’t got into a single school yet. This is horrible.

domestician, sooooo…maybe your teacher can get more specific info for us on if the letters are being mailed tomorrow or Saturday, etc? Of course whatever information you do pass along we will pretend as if you didn’t. No problem. It’s just between you and the posters on this thread. Thanks

Sagedautumn: more like a momma, and glad u agree =)
