<p>Dates have never scared me. In fact, I’ve never been scared of a terrorist attack. The odds of it are so remote that it’s not worth worrying about. If I’m going to worry about anything, it’s something much more likely (like the pandemic that we’re way overdue for!) </p>
<p>I flew out of LAX back in 2006 (?) I think it was on the day that the liquid bombs were supposed to happen. I was staying with my aunt and uncle out in CA and we were watching the news the night before. We had no real idea what the restrictions were going to be on carry-on luggage so literally the only things I had with me were my ID, credit card, cell phone, and Harry Potter book. Everything else was checked. I remember them throwing out near-everything in security lines. My uncle was scared for me and told me to change my flight. I didn’t. Didn’t really see the point. I personally didn’t feel that the threat was any higher that day than any other day. </p>
