Seriously, I FEEL sharper mentally late at night. During the day, I’m usually really sluggish and lazy, unless I’m playing sports or anticipating something. I hate how things are so hectic in the day (I guess it’s cuz I’m in NYC lol). I really, really like how things are mellow and calm at night, which best suits my personality.

I like mornings, though. Around sunrise. It’s really peaceful and the air feels really fresh. I have a habit of sleeping in really late, so I don’t usually get to see the early mornings. I like them either way, though.

I also feel mentally sharper at night. Usually, I get all of my homework done between 9 and 11. My mind isn’t clear enough for me to do it earlier usually, and I just feel so much more motivated at night.

I like 7pm-9pm the best. After about ~11pm I get a headache and can’t do any more work. It’s funny cause i used to be able to stay up till 2am no problem, but all of a sudden in senior yr I get massive headaches.

I can get a lot more done at night. I think it’s because I’m not distracted by anyone or anything, but whenever I can (which is on weekends and vacations mostly), I sleep during the day, and wake up at night, get work done between the hours of eleven and three AM, and then take a light nap before getting up again at a quarter till five.

I love nighttime and the small, quiet sounds you wouldn’t otherwise notice during the day. I love the utter stillness in which the noise of a tap of the keyboard is magnified x10. I love the notion of being awake when the rest of the city is asleep.
