<p>Harvard’s supplement essay is “optional”.
Page 217 is “optional” as well.
Math II is “optional”.</p>
<p>At an Ivy, opting to take Math I puts you at a SIGNIFICANT stats disadvantage. If it’s “optional” but harder, do it. Because every other kid who wants to get in will do anything possible to get that extra edge.</p>
<p>Math II =/= Math I. Math II is harder, and shows that you have an excellent grasp of basic precalculus.</p>
