<p>BTW, I noticed on our ride home, she did not duplicate any candidate. Everyone only had 1 nom. I also looked up Burr’s noms from last year and he did the same thing, he did not give multiple noms to multiple SA’s. So I guess for NC if you placed one SA as your number 1 you had a higher chance of getting 3 noms. DS only asked for AFA, which might explain why he got all MOC’s noms. It looks like she also spread the wealth to every district. </p>
<p>Side note, she was so gracious when she spoke with us, I really admired her. She showed how much she cared about her constituents.</p>
<p>Don’t forget channel 14 was there…we are setting the tivo to relive the moment :)</p>

<p>Forgot to tell you when Bullet and I spoke with her, he invited her to come to our base when our guys get back, she immediately got her chief of staff over to take the info and start working details. They were open that it would be a time frame issue, but would try to at least get someone from her office there. Then handed her business card, took Bullets email address and gave him hers (the COS). I was impressed by that also.</p>
<p>BTW we could see your pink jacket…glad you wore it gave me reference for where we were sitting.</p>
<p>We also teased DS, that he had the longest hair. He figures that he won’t have it for the next 20+ years so he is going to grow it out, until they shave it off :rolleyes: As a MOm, I can’t wait to he gets it shaved off…his gf has the opposite feeling, she’ll probably cry when she sees him without it. I reminded her that every summer he shaves it off anyway due to being an outdoor lifeguard</p>
<p>We saw the Senator’s reception on the 14 News two times ! (They showed it again the next morning). Each time that’s all we saw too was the pink jacket! We were surprised by the end of the clip when the reporter recapped by saying, “All these students will all be attending some of the country’s finest institutions like the Air Force Academy and West Point”…that was it! oooops,…she forget a few! </p>
<p>I bet your son looks so grown up when he cuts his hair short. He has beautiful curls! I have a great picture of him! My son always sports a short “military” cut. He was buried in homework and didn’t want to come on Sat. I hope your son is feeling better. </p>

<p>Yes, he does look a lot older, I personally think he looks cuter too, believe it or not he got it cut the day before. I am the one that is not fond of the hair. Bullet on the other hand is let it grow I think he feels that way since he has had it military style since 82. I guess I am partial to that look…I should be Bullet was in ROTC when I first met him.</p>
<p>DS is much better, we were going to take him to the flight doc today, in case it wsan’t better by now, but he seems to be fine noe.</p>
<p>Our regional and ALO have been very supportive. DS was the only one from our congressman that got all 3, actually the only one to get any sen., so we are hoping that it plays well for him, since they have 4 noms to choose from to give him an appt.</p>
<p>Even if he doesn’t he really is ok with it, since he got his no.2 choice and was selected for the honor/scholars program.</p>
<p>I would like if he went so I wouldn’t have to sit over shoulder making sure he completes all of the scholarship apps…uggh…I would rather have my teeth drilled than filling out all of these scholarship applications. I just keep telling myself, it is like child birth, the pain will be quickly forgotten once the process is all over. :D</p>
