Anyone good @ Photoshop?

I don’t think this is too hard, but I’m realllly new to this …
so I have a picture, and it was way too dark to begin with
and i opened it up in Adobe Photoshop CS2, and it automatically fixed the lighting. But when I try to save it, it still comes up as dark in any other program. Plus, how do you convert .psd files (which is what they’re automatically saved as in photoshop) to a different type, such as .jpg?

Thanks so much if anyone knows the answer.
By the way, does anyone actually have the non-trial program? I only have the Trial version because I found the permanent version $649!

Oh also, I know how to fix underexposed photos using the shade/highlight method, but I mean, since it automatically fixed the picture. . I was wondering if I could save it as is. . .there has to be a better way than print screen right?

when you say save as, click the dropdown that says psd and change it to jpg.

I have adobe photoshop CS

I dont really use it for photgraphs as much as for graphic design and all that.

yep…it worked, good deal
so did you really pay the full price, I mean it’s an excellent program, really fun to play with, but I read the price was so high due to professionals using it. . .
I’m still not sure about the other part though, I guess it’s a problem with my stupid camera, because they all look different when opened in Adobe Photoshop than when opened by themselves using . . Windoes Picture and Fax Viewer for instance
