Anyone have experience with Warby Parker glasses?

I’m an optometrist, so take this with whatever grain of salt you feel is appropriate.

WP was a great innovator in the industry. Essentially they put the world on notice that you can’t sell generic sweatshop sourced crap with a random designer name on it and expect to get a lot for it. People still do. RayBan is a classic example. It’s largely junk, and very overpriced.

With WP you get what you pay for. It’s far nicer than most Zenni, where you also get what you pay for. That said, they come out of adjustment easily and scratch if you look at them sideways. Their progressives are terrible.

They have also done a great disservice to the industry, intimating that all glasses are the same. They aren’t. European (excluding most of Italy), Japanese and US made frames are leagues better than WP. Hold an Anne et Valentin, a Lunor or a Masunaga, and you’ll realize that they are FAR nicer. Whether or not that matters to your financial priorities is another story.
