It’s almost May and I haven’t heard anything from GTO. Mine for was UCLA, not so much as a ‘we received your application’ email or anything. Did anyone else hear anything?

Wow, I think you’re the only GTO on here. If you can log into the online decision site, then I think it’s safe to assume that things are progressing properly.

Uc Gto???

Guaranteed transfer option???

No, I haven’t received any info about how to check online. I guess if I don’t hear anything by May, I’ll contact them.

Did you have to submit a regular application? If so, you should be able to access the online decision site. Here’s the link:

GTO’s are for high school students that barely missed getting admitted into a UC. If you qualified for the GTO, you are sent to a community college for 2 years and keep a 3.5 and you’re in.

Actually, I applied to the DAP (Dual Admissions Program) where I knew I was deferring UC admission for a CC. Thanks to the revised budget, the program folded before it ever started, and we were shuffled into the GTO program, which is nice, because GTO pays for tuition at CC.

mrm, yes I submitted an application, but it says ‘we are unable to notify you at this time.’ UCLA notifies transfers late April-early May, right?

How can one be qualified for UC GTO?

Kevin 101, Kevintech just explained how one qualifies. Basically they contact you, you don’t contact them.

they don’t have GTOs anymore.

bfired2, if you can log in there, everything is okay. You’ll hear with the rest of us when they release decisions.

since when did pontiac make colleges? :P

thanks, mrm, good to hear that. GTO only was available for the graduating high school class of 2004, I believe.

i know this girl that got two of those, one for UCLA and one for BERK but she didnt fill out either one in time… and now she is aimlesly wondering at CC.,…

yea, my friend got into berkeley through the ‘scholars program’ but i guess that doesn’t exist anymore = (
