Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

I applied for EE with a 3.5 GPA and a 1220/1600, 1830/2400 sat. With that type of GPA, I’m surprised they haven’t accepted you yet! Did you get into/are you waiting on any other schools?

well you got a better test score haha, but yeah we just have to wait.

I’ve been accepted to long beach, sdsu, and ucr but this is my first choice and you?

Nice! I also got into Long beach and UCR, and I got waitlisted at UC Davis yesterday, which was a surprise since I pretty much expected to be rejected. I’m really hoping that somehow, someway, UCI, UCSB, and Cal Poly Pomona all accept me. Those 3 are the last ones that I’m waiting on.

Yea im waiting on fullerton, UCSD, UCSB, and UCB, and pomona -.- … this college thing is stressful because of the wait.

Where are you from dude? Im from Socal

I’m in socal too man! I’m really stressed too. At least it’ll all be decided by the end of the month though, hopefully.

I was accepted to pomona electron/computer engineering at 2/1/13 with low stats…they sent me an email on 2/1 right away.

Haha Socal all the way right, i live in a small town called mecca. Im mex/american btw lol
Yeah they better send us an email soon, i can wait anymore

I’ve been waiting for a while for my acceptance/rejection letter for CPP but for a while they haven’t been saying anything, and most of my friends have already gotten their acceptance letters already. :expressionless: I know they send it in waves, but I don’t know if they send out acceptances to the best students first or by major or location or what.

Hey I’m a FTF and I applied Oct 1st right when it was possible. It’s really annoying…because I haven’t gotten any word yet. I’ve looked through this forum and it looks like CPP has a reputation for being late on admission decisions… I hope that’s not the case this year…
Major… animal science
CSU GPA is 3.76
SAT score was pretty bad… 1410/2400
Status is still application received… ughh

@Dimas1227 So-cal is awesome! I can’t imagine living anywhere else.

@nattttydread Welcome! We’re both in the same situation(applying on the very first day without any word from CPP yet) except I applied to a different major. That “application received” status really angers me. :(

Welcome gentlemen, we all gathered here today in anger and anxiousness towards Cal Poly.
We hope soon we will get an answer. Good luck everyone

P.S … SoCal!!!

i live in socal too near ventura!!! Woo! But yeah this app recieved **** is really startin to **** me off!

Pi*s me off

I’m on “provisional admit”, which I find odd since I have all my G.E. finished (from a CC, Mt Sac.). I didn’t receive an email about it, but I checked my account. I’m also in a non-impacted major, applied mathematics/statistics. But I’m also transferring out from a U.C. (Davis, to be exact, I felt the college just wasn’t for me both academically and financially). I wonder why I got “provisional admit” status? Hopefully, this works out.

“Provisional Admit” usually means that you’ve been accepted, but there’s still something they need before they can say that you’re good to go. Your application is still incomplete somehow. For me, my provisional admit status is due to the fact that I need to submit my final high school transcripts. Even things like paying your ECD or Orientation fees can keep your status at provisional admit. You should be fine just as long as you give them what they’re asking for in time. :)

Accepted a few weeks ago.

Major: Electrical Engineering
Unweighted GPA: 3.361
CSU GPA: 3.65
SAT: 2020 (710M, 700W, 610CR)
SAT II: Didn’t submit.
7 AP classes

Well, I’m new here, but I got in. Major: CS

Congratulations Ironman! What were your stats? Freshman or Transfer?

Thanks man. I’m an undergrad so freshmen. All A’s, took 4 AP’s between junior and senior year (only years my high school allows for).

GPA: weighted ~4.3
SAT: 1730

I’ve been admitted with a Business Administration major. However I want to change my major to Aerospace Engineering.

I got admitted back in February with a 3.83 WGPA and a 1220/1600 SAT.

Is this doable? And if so how would I go about achieving this?
