<p>They came and did a presentation at my school. They have what are called “management internships” where you could work at a international company abroad, but the trick is getting the internship. Some are paid some are not. You pay like a small fee ($45) after you get accepted and then you get into their database of international internships. So it seems a little shady, but some people get great results. I know a kid that interned for DHL in Dubai(well maybe not that great in the summer but still).Check with your school if they have like the schools own system. The deadline for it at my school is Jan 25.</p>

<p>and I’m especially curious about engineering-related internships.
(I’m assuming there would be nothing for a future doctor, and these are my top two choices)</p>

<p>I applied for the exchange program and had an interview yesterday with my campus chapter…(I’m an industrial engineer btw)</p>

<p>I’m also interested in obtaining an engineering/technical internship for just this summer. I just submitted the application, and my campus’s chapter is holding interviews later this week…</p>

<p>@Tom 1030 or anyone who can help: Did you go through with it / how was the experience? I’m really excited to travel and to experience a different culture, but I’m a little concerned about the potential lack of professional development. I’m currently a sophomore in electrical engineering, and wasn’t able to obtain an internship for this summer, and I don’t want to be working at just some restaurant if you know what I mean.</p>
