<p>My front loading Whirlpool washing machine gets a musty smell. It does help to wipe it dry and leave the door open after washes, and putting bleach into my white loads also helps, but I never had this problem with my top loaders.</p>

<p>And, every so often either run a vinegar wash or a bleach wash. </p>
<p>Top loaders don’t have an airtight seal like front-loaders do.</p>
<p>Love my Fisher Paykel washer. It spins clothes so well, it has cut drying time in at least half. I don’t have the dryer but when my ancient dryer bites the dust, will probably get an FP.</p>
<p>SIL has a combo. It seems to work well. It’s small-ish, doesn’t take a lot of clothes.</p>
<p>As I said earlier, mine stack and I’m really happy with that arrangement.</p>
<p>I ended up not going to the big box retailers who were really confusing me and not that knowledgeable, and went to a local retailer who does a ton of wholesale to contractors in the area. I asked for a salesman and got the owner of the company (didn’t know until he took me into his office) and I was frank with him and told him not to schmooze me! Ended up buying a Whirlpool Cabrio middle priced model (not budget, not high end) WITHOUT the agitator. He said those are rough on clothes and that he has the least complaints with Whirlpool compared to how many they sell which is a ton. Gave me a discount (16%) because he is competing with Lowe’s which is next door, so we’ll see. You guys as always are great!</p>

<p>I wish that we shopped in Canada or somewhere else where they allow more water. Running several times or longer cycles do not save anything, just like running dishwasher twice, flash toilets 10 times…etc, just stupid design that makes us all use more energy / water / time and other resources. Very frustrated with any new appliences. Missing my very old ones, 15 min. dishwasher cycle, that cleaned much better than over 1.5 hours of current one…how is it saving us anything? My suggestion is to look abroad and check with customs.</p>
<p>Most washers come with manual water level adjustments. My Fisher Paykel will choose the water saver level by default, but I often choose it manually when I wash larger loads. Using less water is harder on the machine - at least the old agitator style machine.</p>

<p>I know internationally reknown cardiologist who goes to Europe for simposiums on a regular basis and has books written in a field. He graduated from Caribean Med. School. 80% of MD’s in our city graduated from local Med. School. I do not know anybody who graduted from top Medical school and I do not care. They are not better MDs than our local MDs. Some of them are good. others are not so and a lot of it has to do with how they treat you as a person, are they on-time or you have to wait in line and staff like that.</p>
<p>My machine has a adjustment button right on the panel. I can either let the machine decide the level by how many clothes are in the tub or I can put it on high, medium or low. </p>
