<p>We just had an inquiry from a prospective client in England. They are interested in purchasing a piece of software that we sell. I have no idea about international sales, or what regulations or taxes are involved. Any tips on what needs to be done?</p>

<p>I would let him figure it out. He will have to pay customs when he receives it. Just make it clear that customs is his responsibility.</p>
<p>The main thing for you is to make sure the software you send is export compliant so you won’t get into trouble with the USA government. If it contains any encryption, make sure you follow export compliance laws.</p>
