I have a kid living abroad who still needs to file a US tax return, doesn’t owe taxes, and would like to e-file as they need the tax return linked quickly via the IRS site. The income amount qualifies for free filing.
On Turbo Tax, it wants an upgrade as do the others I have seen thus far.

It is my understanding that all of the possible forms are there. Each form will do the calculations, but in the past at least I did have to make note of some of the results and then type them into the correct line in another form.
