Anyone on the Alternate List Of CWRU?

<p>I got my admissions decision from CWRU and they’ve put me on the alternate list. Now, is the list based on academic merit or on the ‘first come,first serve’ basis? Also, should I talk to the Director of Admissions and ask them to reconsider my situation and probably put me on the regular list so I can accept right away? Last thing. Do private univ. like CWRU have enough endowements to provide sufficient fin. aid to students? Take my case. My family’s annual income is 25k and EFC on the FAFSA was 0.</p>

<p>Also, which of these univ. would be the best choice for me?

<p>Well, if you actually got into Yale and could afford, then by all means, go!</p>

<p>I did some searching; you seem to be an international; many schools will reject/defer/“alternative you” when they base their admission decisions on your ability to pay. There are only a handful of schools that are “need blind” for international.</p>

<p>Yale and Rice would be free if you get in; (Unlikely schools with the scores that you posted before)</p>
