Anyone out there have a successful SAT study plan?

I have the Official SAT Study Guide from College Board and started looking through it today. I do not start working until July so I can begin some test prep. I am hoping to take the SAT for the first time in November or December. How can I atleast get a 1600?

1600 counting the three sections? Critical Reading, Math and Writing? Or excluding Writing?

If it is for the three sections take ONE timed practice test and see how well you did. Let us know your score and we may help you from there. 1600 is relatively easy to score for the three sections.

1600 is very reachable. Finish the math section from Gruber’s and consistently do one timed Practice Test every week before your test in November. Remember to go through the questions you got wrong and write them in a little notebook. For essay, research on some examples which can be used for a wide array of archetypes. As for the CR section, my advice would be to read the questions before reading the passage. (put a * sign beside the lines that the question referred to) Read Direct Hits Vocabulary.

Do all of that and 1600 should be a breeze :)

Yes. Do practice tests. Review sections/types of problems you get wrong. and study vocab (direct hits)

Direct Hits 1 & 2.
Practice tests… can’t stress this enough.
Use this:http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/750399-how-attack-sat-critical-reading-section-effectively.html

Seriously, it gets results. I know you’ve probably heard “Do practice tests” at least 100 times on here, but let me be the one to tell you to do em 100 more times.

Improved 300 points from my March SAT.

March Scores:
Composite: 2060
CR - 650
M - 700
W - 710

June Scores:**
Composite - 2360**
CR - 800
M - 760
W - 800

1600 is a very reachable score. I would first focus on math and writing, because in my opinion those are the easiest sections to improve. For CR, practice with Noitaraperp’s CR guide.
