Anyone taken an Earnest Loan?

I’m researching private student loans and came across a company called Earnest that offers flexible terms based on their “Precision Pricing” format. They state this approach saves $ on interest. Has anyone taken a loan from Earnest? Any recommendations for other lenders that have favorable terms and allow students to take loans and parents to co-sign? Thanks!

Are you asking the wrong question?

If you are looking at borrowing to pay for a 40K a yr or a 65K a yr university I think you should reconsider both, you have no safety affordable schools? You do know you can decline both and apply to affordable schools? You are not backed into a corner. A gap year is totally reasonable. As you don’t seem to have options like home equity it would seem that any parental loan is a risk. Is you student not merit worthy at schools where this might help? Lehigh has offered you nothing, no merit and no FA? What are his stats? Home state?

It appears to be a REfinancing lender, specifically targeting parents who have taken out PLUS loans.
