<p>I want to. I make huge mistake in choosing college and want to transfer back to one elite college that once admitted me. :)</p>
<p>Where are you now? Where do you want to go? Why is it a huge mistake? Transferitis is VERY common this time freshman year, for thousands of kids. Usually after grades come out and they are disappointed. Or just simple adjustment problems for social reasons. Are you Asian? Are you sure the other college will be better? Elite doesnt always mean better. Frequently the same problems occur at every college. Think before you leap.</p>
<p>(My kid had transferitis freshman year. She persevered, things got better and graduated Phi Beta Kappa!)</p>
<p>Are you in college now? If a school accepted you ED, you are kind of stuck I think.<br>
But if you are in college now, I have a friend whose son was in that position. Midway through the first semester he called the school he realized he should have gone to, explained his situation, said he made a mistake choosing a school, and fortunately for him that school took him in for the second semester. It is worth a call. Luckily for him, finances were not an issue, but you may not get the same financial aid as a transfer compared to coming in as a freshman. Still, it is worth a call.</p>
<p>Did you start at College A, then transfer to College B, and now you want to go back to College A? Then contact College A, and ask how to do that. Usually it is not hard at all.</p>
<p>Were you admitted to College A, but turned College A down so that you can go to College B, but you won’t start until the fall? Then contact College A, and let them know that you have changed your mind, and that you want to go there. If they have not filled their class for next fall, it probably will be possible for you to enroll at College A. However, it might not be.</p>
<p>By other posts it is W & M and looking at UIUC, PSU, VT and maybe NYU.</p>
<p>Given that it is January, I’m parsing the OP’s somewhat fractured english and talk of admit & transfer to mean last spring he/she was admitted to an elite college as well as another one that he/she currently attends. With a change of heart he/she now wishes to attend the elite that offered a spot in the past, and wonders if it is possible to transfer to the school that once offered admission as an incoming freshman.</p>
