I ran across this show while surfing YouTube a few nights ago and now I’m hooked on it! I’m not even really a car guy, but I find his collection of cars really intriguing, especially given how well preserved they are.
The engineer in me enjoyed the Chrysler Turbine car and the Citroen DS. Anyone else watch this show, and have a favorite car?
We binged watched it over a weekend. Enjoyed it very much. His emphasis on racing didn’t interest me quite as much as the other segments. Would rather see more of the cars in his amazing collection.
The episode where a Tesla races a Ford GT was very cool. Good lesson about torque. Short story-- Tesla has max. torque from the get-go, as there are no gears to shift. Transmission-cars build up torque while shifting through the gears. Result, in the short term, the Tesla smoked the GT. I would assume at some point the race car would catch up to the Tesla.

My favorite episode is the one where Jay was racing a TANK! A real army tank.

Far too often lol. Husband is a auto tech that specializes in restoring classic hot rods. Not a lucrative career, more a hobby, but he loves this show and the auction shows.
