anyone?

Has anyone taken ap chem with ap physics in a year? Just wondering, if so, how was the workload?

It depends on how well you manage time, how well you do in science, etc. Also, depends on the teacher. You’ll find lots of people here on CC that take 5-6-7 APs jr and sr. year. D is a senior and taking AP Chem and AP Physics C (and 4 other APs and Calc III). The only one she really agonizes over is AP Lit. You are probably the best judge of what you can handle and how much work you’re willing to put into you schoolwork.

but is there really any use in taking so many ap’s ur senior year when colleges wont see ur final grade?

Depends if they’re used for placement wherever you go to college – for that they’re pretty useful. Also, some schools just like to see whether or not you’ve “challenged yourself” by bothering to take AP tests.

As for taking chem + physics, I have no idea, because my school doesn’t offer AP tests… but I’ve taken sort of equivalent course loads in the past (and self-studied several AP’s)… it’s all up to you, and how much work you want to put into it.

at our schoo, physics is killer and we use a college book. The passing rate is EXTREMELY low, but he’s a really good teacher. I think you should find someone in your school who’s taken both of them.
