I think there are different definitions of ‘playing club’. Most if not all of our soccer kids do some sort of soccer on weekends in the off season, pretty much every Sunday in any event, sometimes they leave for the whole weekend for tournaments etc. There are only 1 or 2 I know of who go to the weeknight practices, and even that is just when they can (apparently the nearby clubs practice 3 nights a week). They do seem to supplement with scrimmaging on campus, I see them under the lights on Wednesdays even in near freezing temps this time of the year.
