If I study for the ap world history test in may, is there anything else I need to do to prepare for the june test date in order to get an 800 or some where in that neighborhood on the subject test?

Correlation is pretty high.

Just review your AP notes. The world history subject test has a huge number of questions though – something like 90-95 if my memory serves me – so get used to working very quickly. But they are essentially the same thing, yes.

I self-studied APWH last year (took honors WH freshman year) and then took the WH SAT II.

I earned a 4 and 760, respectively; I would say there’s a correlation (unless you’re receiving a generous boost from really awesome DBQs/FRQs on the AP test).

Just know your stuff.

I barely broke 700 on practice exams but received a 5 on the AP exam. Don’t think my essay carried me like honorlions mentioned, but rather the AP exam MC was much easier than the SAT II MC.

Overall there’s some correlation, but I’d suggest you study for both and not just the AP
