AP art drawing, should i take it in grade 11 or 12

Hi guys!
need help to decide here. If i submit my AP art portfolio 2015 May, I might not have enough time to crank out quality art works due to limited time. So I’m just wondering, if i take the ap in grade 11 but received a lower mark better or take it in grade 12 and a higher mark? The thing is, when i apply to college, if i take the ap in grade 11, i will be able to write it on my college app because college app is due before 2016 May, but if i take it in grade 12 i would then receive my mark after i got accepted to which ever college applied. So i don’t know what to do :S

Thank you in advance!!!

You’re talking about AP Studio Art right? What major and school(s) are you applying for? Are you submitting the portfolio as part of a class or independently?

If you think you’ll get at least a 3, and a 3-5 point score all waive the same number of units, take it this year. If it does matter what score you get, and you’re taking AP Studio Art as a class, send it next year. That way, your colleges will at least see that you took the class, and you can benefit from the extra time you spend on your portfolio.
