AP Art History 2011 FRQs

I thought it would be interesting to compare our responses on the 2011 AP Art Histroy Exam.

Actually as of right now, I was wondering about the first short essay (the papyrus).

Well, I wasn’t sure where the scroll was placed but I noticed Anubis and the judgement of the heart so I wrote “These scrolls were typically placed in Egyptian tombs.” Do you think that is ok for the first part of the question.
For the second part I wrote about how it helped the dead in their judgment and additionally preserves the ka (explained the belief etc.) anyway what do you think about that particular response, specially “placed in tombs” ?

I put a more specific response and stated that they were placed in the Book of the Dead, which was placed in tombs. I think your response still merits at least a 2-3.

Thank you hope you’re right specially about the 3 :stuck_out_tongue: how did you perform on the rest of section 2?

I wrote the same thing for the papyrus question… hope its right

Interesting – probably they’ll be nice and accept tombs I mean I’ve read in various sources “they were placed in tombs” so Im semi confident lets hope for the best! What did you guys think of the postmodernist question? It killed me !
