<p>Are they regarded as fake AP’s? Anyone taking any of these classes now, or have taken them? Do colleges like AP art history better than media tech to fulfill art credits?</p>

<p>You can google “XXX AP credits”, where XXX is the college you’re thinking of. You can see how a college awards credits for the courses you’re asking.</p>

<p>They’re not “fake” APs, but they are considered AP “lite” because it’s typically easier to get 5’s on those exams than on others. However, if you’re taking AP Art History as an elective–in addition to other AP core classes–it can only help.</p>
