AP Art History & color blindedness

My child is trying to do AP art History, since he is passionate about art. However, he cannot name colors but can differentiate between the contrast of colors. Please let me know if it’d be difficult for him to take Art History. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Can someone please tell me if it’d be difficult for my child to do AP Art History ?

Is there any one who has taken AP art history ? can you tell me if that demands recognizing colors?

I can’t imagine it would matter, but either contact the teacher or run down to local bookstore, buy yourself a coffee and grap some AP Art Hist study guides and look at the practice tests. As long as it wouldn’t prevent you from seeing composition…

I don’t think viewing the color of specific images would specifically hurt your son, but he should know how art-historical movements used color to get their point across (but this is generally mentioned in the text, so he’d still be able to do that)
