AP Bio and AP Chem

Getting 5’s in these subjects does not qualify skipping bio1a chem1a?

By the way, what is the difference between Bio1a and Bio1b?

I think it depends on what college you are in. You might want to check out the announcement for your college- it should be in there.

I’m working through the course selection for L&S right now. There was no mention of these APs, so I wanted to make sure.

You get hours of credit, but not exemption from any classes.

(by the way, berkeley treats 3s and up the same for most APs, I got 5s in both chem and bio too, but it looks like it wont matter. in fact, after seeing this page, im way less serious about my stats AP tomorrow)

Thanks for the link, bro!

Yea, it’s a bit disappointing to see those APs not go to use. I regret having taken “fun” english electives over the AP though, as this sucker seems to pack a punch.

EDIT - Still need a little clarification on the two intro bio courses.

Did you take it last year or something? I seem to get a couple of the assumptions mixed up every once in a while. After seeing that site, I dont think I should study any more of it, my ego will be fine.

Edit:

google is your friend:

Yea, I took Bio and Chem my junior year. I was also planning on taking AP English this year, but opted for some ethnic electives at my high school.

I meant Stats, I took chem soph. and bio junior, im taking stats this year, tomorrow.

Yup, stats tomorrow…it feels pretty relaxed subsequent to Calc. Good luck to everyone on APs.
