My teacher in bio didnt even do any practice essays until the last minute except like 2 at the beginning of the year. Thats what i am mainly afraid of, the essays. Plus i have an A+ and i feel like i am going to get a 3, i wonder what the other kids in my class feel about that.

I have get to actually write some frqs. So far what i’ve done is just think about how i would write it. Im actually not to concerned about it… yet.

I know that it’s been suggested to study in-depth about plants, but in regards to plant reproduction, should we only know the reproductive cycles of angiosperms and gymnosperms?

FRQ is 40% correct?
I hope I can wing it and get 60% on the free response.

^Yes it’s 40%.

How did you guys get scores out of 120 and 150?? I took a 100 question one and got 73 right and 27 wrong. The scoring’s supposedly 1/4 off for 5 option answers and 1/3 off for 4 option choices, but I didn’t know that when I corrected it so I just deducted 1/4 for every wrong answer. That’s 66/100. According the the stat sheet my teacher received, I basically need to get ~50% on the essays to receive a 5. Feeling pretty confident right now about multiple choice, but still have to study a little for the free responses.

this thread is genius.
thank god i have a weekend before ap bio during which i can cram every single detail collegeboard likes to stick onto the test…

but i dont think ppl should worry so much about this. it should be the easiest science simply because THERE NOTHING INVOLVED IN STUDYING IT EXCEPT MEMORIZING FACTS. and literally… the graders for frq just sit there counting the number of appropriate terms and facts you mention in your essay… and to get a 5, i say get at least 5/10 on those frq… which is nothing. unless you go into the test knowing absolutely nothing about certain topics, you’ll definitely have something to say about each essay topic.

im way more worried about my ap english lit exam that i havent started studying and is in 2 days… ■■■

where can i find the 1999 test?

Ask you teacher. They should have a few exams they get from apcentral.

I need to start studying for AP World >.<…there’s going to be so many more facts on that test…plus I skipped a few crucial chapters (Renaissance, WWI, Industrialization…) lol.

is this it, i dont want to end up taking some random test? i found it in some other thread

It looks legit, but I haven’t taken the 1999 one yet. Do you have the answers? And how do you convert your score to 1-5 seeing how TCB changed it to 100 MC?

Even with two really stupid mistakes, Sparknotes gave me a 5 on their diagnostic test. Now I need to work on that ugly 3 for the AP World diagnostic…was it just me, or was that one extremely hard compared to CB practice exams?

Would an 85.75 out of 119 get a “5” on that 1999 exam? :)

Dude that’s 72% of course it would lol.

Jzhang, I know that you’re taking Physics B as well as Biology. Do you feel as though you’re prepared to take the physics test? For me it feels like I’ve spent so much time studying biology that my physics score is going to suffer.

I agree to the title of the thread.

What’s the minimal percentage for a 5? What was last year’s curve and such?

Hey archibundo,
I dunno man.
The two are VERY different.
Like Bio I’m at a 5 (MC) by just knowing the basics and trying to recall them on the test.
Whereas for Physics…
If I know the basics and try to recall I get things confused (like magnetism/electrostatics etc) Two very different things.
I’m probably going to get a 4 on Physics even though it’s my stronger subject… :S

I’m basically giving up on Bio now, just study purely Physics now. My MC score is not very good.

dude, there’s NOTHING on there about protists. don’t even worry about them

there was like, one question on mychorrizae i think…

but seriously, fungi weren’t a large portion
