hey guys, quick question about bio.

Considering the major function of the large intestine, in what animals would the function of the large intestine not be that important?

thanks!

My first guess is freshwater aquatic, but I haven’t seen the question, so I wouldn’t know

^She’s a genius, I would believe her if I were you.

The large intestine is mainly to reabsorb water from food parts into the body. Thus, I would agree that it would be least useful in aquatic animals or even frogs since they can get water through their skin.

Amphibians. They can absorb water through their skin.
