AP Biology Class Speed Question

I am currently taking AP Bio and we are using the Campbell textbook. The class, however, has a new teacher who doesn’t know how to deal with the large quantity of lazy people in it (he also doesn’t lecture which is annoying). Anyways, we read a chapter one weekend and then waste about one week in class before we quiz over it doing useless things, and this has gotten us nowhere. Currently, we are on Chapter 11 in the Campbell text (skipped chapter 1 as well), it is almost December…

From posts on here I assume we are moving way to slowly; I have asked the teacher and he says we are not, however. What should I do? If we are going normal speed then great, if we aren’t, though, please tell me so I can talk with this guy; I want a 4 or 5… Thanks!

Yeah you’re going too slowly. Telling your teacher to go faster might annoy him. I would just learn the topics you might skip on your own. If you have a class syllabus, look at the topics at the very end and start learning those and work your way backwards (because you’ll probably cover the stuff at the beginning of the syllabus in class).

nothing wrong with taking an easy A and studying a little on your own to supplement
