Ap calc bc or ap stat for econ major

I want to go to uchicago and major in economics, i took honors precalc as a sophomore, i can now take ap calc ab as a jr. and ap calcbc as a senior. Or, I can take Ap calc ab as a jr. and ap stat as a senior(or that in the reverse order). Which should i take?

Since you are already doing AP calc AB as a junior, I think stats would be more beneficial even though it is easier. BC isn’t a continuation of AB. Its everything in AB plus just a little more info…at least at my school. Can you take BC as a munitions and stats ass senior? Or the reverse? That would be ideal…

If you want to get into UChicago, I would recommend taking BC. If you can take BC junior year, that’d be great. Then take Stats senior year.
Or just do the AB-BC plan. Good luck!

Shouldn’t make too much of a difference. You’re going to have to have taken both courses in addition to some advanced math in both stats and algebra by the end of your college years.

If you plan on majoring in Econ, that stats credit from AP Stats is not going to be of much use. I would suggest trying to take BC any way you can; if necessary, try to talk your guidance department into letting you double up.
